PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to submit your passport to the consulate. You will NOT have access to your passport until the visa process is finished by the consulate. Please plan accordingly. The consulate will not release your passport until the visa process is finished.

ATTENTION: Foreign consulates do not accept demands from travelers. They do not work around a traveler’s time-frame, and may request additional documents not listed in the general instructions at any given time and circumstance without notice.

STEP 2

Come to our office so we can review, sort, prepare your documents and take your photos.

COME IN TO OUR OFFICE

If you already have your own passport-type photos, bring them with you. Otherwise we will take your photos.

STEP 3

Your visa application will be submitted to the foreign consulate the next business day.

SUBMIT APPLICATION

Should any additional requirements or demands from the consulate arise, we will communicate it to you immediately after we leave the consulate lobby.

STEP 4

We will collect your passport and visa from the consulate on the day scheduled by the consulate.

RECEIVE DOCUMENTS

Your visa & any other original documents will be at our office available for pick up on the same day they are released by the consulate or shipped if requested.

Follow These Instructions to Obtain a Visa for China

FORMS must be typed-in ONLINE and signed by hand. No electronic or photocopied signatures will be accepted.

DO NOT ship your documents to us without first communicating with our office.

DO NOT ship your materials for 8AM delivery unless instructed to do so.

Visa Requirements

  • Your passport MUST be valid for AT LEAST 6 MONTHS, counting from the day you leave China
  • Your passport MUST contain at least ONE blank, completely clear “VISAS” page (Amendments and Endorsement pages do not count)
  • Your passport MUST be signed and in good condition. The consulate staff may reject your passport if they find it to be in damaged condition, even if you don’t think that’s the case

For those who are traveling for business purposes:

Business Invitation Letter (MANDATORY): A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in China is now required. The letter must be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to “The Consulate of China, Visa Section”, and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above) and stamped with the company seal. The business letter must include the following information:

  • Personal information of the applicant: name, gender, date of birth, passport details, and job title
  • State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.), the dates of the visit, and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in China
  • Specify the type and desired validity of the visa (ie. a one year multiple entry business visa)
  • State who will bear the costs of the applicant’s accommodations in China

  • Your passport MUST be valid for AT LEAST 6 MONTHS, counting from the day you leave China
  • Your passport MUST contain at least ONE blank, completely clear “VISAS” page (Amendments and Endorsement pages do not count)
  • Your passport MUST be signed
  • If you have been issued a visa to China in the past, you MUST submit your original passport (even if expired or cancelled) showing your last or most recent previous visa to China. The Chinese consulate may disregard this requirement at their discretion, but it is a requirement and you must have it available for submission

    • Question 1.2: Applicants who were born in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan MUST write their names in Chinese characters as requested on the form
    • Question 1.9: U.S. citizens can leave the field blank
    • Question 1.17: Enter your title next to your employer’s name. (Ex.: ACME/Sales Director)
    • Question 1.23: At least one major family member must be listed
    • Question: 1.24: Emergency contact can be the same person as listed on Question 1.23
    • Question 2.1: Check one (1) box only
    • Question 2.3: Check “Yes” if you require the quickest processing only
    • Question 2.6: For TOURISM Visas Only – Enter the FULL hotel address information including the local ZIP code and dates of stay only; For all other visa types, leave blank
    • Question 2.8: For ALL visa types, EXCEPT TOURISM – Enter the inviter information as shown on your invitation letter from China
    • Question 3.7 onwards:  Leave blank
    • Please SIGN the form on PART 4 to match the passport signature. All applicants over the age of 18 MUST sign their own application form

  • Copy of round trip or cruise-line tickets or tentative itinerary, printed from online vendor or travel agency letterhead
  • If you have trouble printing your form or itinerary, you are welcome to email it to us as an attachment and we will be glad to print it for you at our office

Payment Options:

  1. Make ONE payment to us for all services and fees altogether (We will then pay for the government fees on your behalf)
  2. Make TWO individual payments:
    • Submit your own US POSTAL MONEY ORDER in the amount equivalent to the visa type you are requesting (for example: $160), and…
    • Pay for our service fees separately with cash, check, credit or debit card
  • Chinese name: The applicant’s name must be written in Chinese characters
  • Proof of name change: If the applicant’s name has changed since birth, please provide a original of the court order or marriage certificate showing the name change
  • For former Chinese citizens (naturalized into US citizenship): It is mandatory to present the last Chinese passport and original naturalization certificate issued to the applicant
