PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to submit your passport to the consulate. You will NOT have access to your passport until the visa process is finished by the consulate. Please plan accordingly. The consulate will not release your passport until the visa process is finished.

ATTENTION: Foreign consulates do not accept demands from travelers. They do not work around a traveler’s time-frame, and may request additional documents not listed in the general instructions at any given time and circumstance without notice.

STEP 2

Come to our office so we can review, sort, prepare your documents and take your photos.

COME IN TO OUR OFFICE

If you already have your own passport-type photos, bring them with you. Otherwise we will take your photos.

STEP 3

Your visa application will be submitted to the foreign consulate the next business day.

SUBMIT APPLICATION

Should any additional requirements or demands from the consulate arise, we will communicate it to you immediately after we leave the consulate lobby.

STEP 4

We will collect your passport and visa from the consulate on the day scheduled by the consulate.

RECEIVE DOCUMENTS

Your visa & any other original documents will be at our office available for pick up on the business day after they are released by the consulate.

Follow These Instructions to Obtain a Visa for Russia

The VISA APPLICATION FORMS must be typed-in ONLINE, printed and signed by hand. Please save your application ID number and password, and provide that to Arista, if you would like us to edit the voucher information in the system for you at a later time.

DO NOT ship your documents to our office without first communicating with us.

DO NOT ship your materials for 8AM delivery unless instructed to do so.

Visa Requirements

  • Your passport MUST be valid for AT LEAST 6 MONTHS, counting from the day you leave Russia
  • Your passport MUST contain at least TWO blank, completely clear “VISAS” page (Amendments and Endorsement pages do not count)
  • Your passport MUST be signed

Copy of your Tourist Voucher/invitation issued by tourist company or hotel in Russia approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If you do not have your voucher yet, you must inquire with the hotel where you are staying in Russia for the necessary steps. We can obtain the Tourist Travel Voucher for you:

  • 1-month Tourist Voucher: $125 – Turnaround time: 1 day
  • 3-year Tourist Voucher: $200 – Turnaround time: 1 to 2 days
  • Copy of round trip or cruise-line tickets or tentative itinerary, printed from online vendor or travel agency letterhead
  • If you have trouble printing your form or itinerary, you are welcome to email it to us as an attachment and we will be glad to print it for you at our office

When applying for a Russian visa it is MANDATORY to provide documentation that you no longer possess Russian citizenship.  The following is a list of documents that will be accepted as proof of citizenship renunciation. Present as many as possible:

  • Copy of USSR passport with a stamp stating you left for “permanent residence abroad”, dated prior to February 6, 1992
  • Copy of a “Visa to Israel” issued prior to February 6, 1992
  • Copy of a Certificate of Naturalization issued prior to 1996
  • A document confirming the renunciation of your Russian citizenship
  • Copy of the main pages of a passport of a former USSR state, issued after February 1992
  • In the absence of any documentation, please provide a written statement explaining the circumstances of your departure from the USSR
  • The following is displayed on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation’s website:
    • In accordance with Russian law, visas can not be issued to Russian citizens, even those with expired passports. We remind you that in accordance to Article 12 of Russian Law “On citizenship of the Russian Federation”, children born to two parents who are Russian citizens, automatically gain Russian citizenship, regardless of the place of birth. In this case visas are not issued, and they must apply for Russian citizenship, or have their information written into the passport of one of their parents, or obtain a Russian passport.
